After careful handpicking, the grapes were crushed, fermented, and then aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels. The resulting wine has enticing aromas of berries, leather, anise, and spice. Whilst on the palate, notes of dark red fruits, plum and blackberry, and chocolate shine through, with rounded tannins balancing a smooth, slightly oaky character. The 2016 is drinking beautifully now but will continue to develop even more ageing. Pair with a hearty beef stew or roast beef.
