This estate is one of the oldest in Margaux. The Sichel family purchased the estate in 1961 and has revived the fortunes of this pretty lakeside chateau. The combination of sand and gravel soils found in this area of southern Margaux are ideal to support both Cabernet Sauvignon and a high proportion of Merlot. A good match for fine cuts of beef, roast lamb, wild mushrooms, game including venison, boar and hare and well flavoured cheeses.
