Grapes are picked from vines that vary in age from 30 to 100 years old, resulting in a wonderfully complex Cotes du Rhone. On the nose, there is a vibrant bouquet of black cherry, vanilla and liquorice notes, which flow onto the palate and are complemented by a spicy, peppery finish. Partially aged in oak barrels for 6 to 12 months, the wine has bold yet smooth tannins and a rounded texture, balance by a long, fresh finish. Pairs beautifully with game meats, from rabbit terrine to venison stew.
