
This Gran Reserva Rioja Blanco is classic white Rioja, and the 2017 is truly stunning. It’s full-bodied with obvious oak influence, having spent 18 months ageing in barrel followed by at least two and a half more years in bottle before release. Despite its time in oak, it is still youthful with lemony fruit behind the rich grilled marzipan notes, a hint of hazelnut and a long, rich, mineral finish – this is such good value for a wine of this quality.
