Afon Mel is a family-run honey farm and meadery near New Quay in Ceredigion, West Wales, where Sam Cooper has been keeping bees and producing award-winning real meads since 1999. The farm hosts 500 beehives across Wales and offers the UK's largest collection of real meads; it is the only UK meadery to have won the Guild of Fine Food's Great Taste Golden Fork Award, for its Heather Mead in 2019.
