Nestled along the banks of the Kentucky River, Buffalo Trace is one of the oldest continually operating distilleries in America. They use a higher corn, low rye mash bill to create their bourbon, resulting in a smoother, sweeter flavour profile. Bottled from batches of a maximum of 40 casks at a time, their bourbon is rich with vanilla, sweetness and spice, and we anticipate flavours of vanilla, caramel, velvety toffee éclairs, traces of cinnamon, and spice, to come through into the whisky. Buffalo Trace casks have become a staple at Annandale as they pair so well with our spirit, and released countless Man O’Words and Man O’Sword bottlings that have been matured in their Fresh ex-Bourbon casks.
