Matured in a shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR) cask, this 2017 vintage Man O’Words whisky from Annandale Distillery showcases the influence of active oak on our unpeated spirit. The STR process enhances depth and complexity, encouraging the development of rich fruit character, warming spice and a fuller texture. Cask 337 has created a beautifully expressive profile. Notes of vanilla and wood spice lead the nose, followed by raisins and ripe orchard fruits. The palate is oily and well-structured, carrying layers of sweetness and oak influence in harmony before unfolding into a long, satisfying finish. Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill filtration or added colouring, this expression remains a true reflection of the individuality of a single Annandale cask.
