Nucleus Colonies for Summer collection Summer nucs are provided on BS National Frames in a 5 frame format in a ventilated wooden travelling box. Please only purchase nucleus colonies if you are either an experienced beekeeper, have a mentor in place or undertaking a beekeeping course To order, select your preferred queen type (we will endeavour to provide this, but cannot be guaranteed) and whether you wish for the queen to be clipped or not. Summer nucs are provided on BS National Frames in a 5 frame format in a wooden travelling box with a new mated queen. Please note, nucleus colonies are for collection only. Do make a trip of it, come and visit us at the same time as collecting your bees. Please note our full terms and conditions for purchases of bees and queens here. At the point of placing the order, the order value including shipping is made up of a 15% deposit / cancellation fee. In the event of any cancellation we incur extra costs in adminsitering the cancellation, re-stocking and the work already committed to producing the queen or bees. In the event of a cancellation of a queen or bees (overwintered nucleus colony / packages / summer nucleus colony) you will be refunded 85% of the purchase amount, with the remaining 15% non-returnable being the cancellation fee/ non returnable deposit.
