The ESB style is known for its balance and the interplay between malt and hop bitterness. Our Winter Wolf ESB displays earthy, herbal, hoppy character through the use of English Goldings and Bramling. The residual malt and defining sweetness of this richly flavoured and medium bodied beer come from the use of Maris Otter, Crystal and Amber malts. Earthy on the nose with a mellow background, this brew has a warming caramel malt flavour, perfect for those cold winter nights. The Golding & Bramling hop additions add bitterness, yet this medium-bodied brew maintains an ample malt foundation on the way to a smooth, refreshing finish.
