KAIHA is a type of Hanazake, an awamori unique to the island of Yonaguni. Traditionally used for funeral rites, this type of awamori has been a very important part of the Yonaguni people and culture for centuries. With a relatively mild flavour and soft on the palate, this is a great drink for beginners.Please note that the cloudiness is due to the umami compounds suspended in the liquid and is intentional, it is not an indication of quality.
