The freezing conditions in the winter mean that the Cairngorms is one of the few places outwith the Arctic where areas of tundra exist. Cold and windy with sub-zero temperatures in the winter lead to a burst of life in the summer, with wild flowers and animals flourishing in this unique landscape. Tomintoul Tundra was born in this challenging environment. It is an elegant, balanced and creamy single malt, matured entirely in American oak bourbon barrels.
