Old Primeval is the nickname of a giant snapping turtle who has long roamed the waters of Georgian Bay.It felt like a fitting title for this Barrel Aged Imperial stout, which spent 16 months in 2nd fill Bourbon barrels, that were initially home to Red Vermouth.Reminiscent of a classic Manhattan, notes of dark cocoa and red liquorice come through, with a dry herbaceous finish.Neither beer nor turtle is to be trifled with.
