This is your ticket – you must bring this with you to the Vineyard We look forward to welcoming you to the vineyard for Picnic and Planes. The picnic coincides with the nearby Shuttleworth airshow and there’s usually a chance to spot planes heading our way, although this may depend on which way the wind is blowing. More details on what you might see can be found here: https://www.shuttleworth.org/events/airshows/ Feel free to picnic anywhere in the vineyard. As well as blankets, chairs etc, you are welcome to put up pop up gazebos, sun parasols – there’s not a lot of shade because our vines need to lap up the sun! Please note the vineyard is on a gentle slope and the ground is grassed and uneven in places. If there is someone with limited mobility in your party, we can reserve a picnic table near the marquee for you if you would like this, just email us to let us know. If you are interested in taking a self-guided tour, you can pick up a sheet at the vineyard entrance table and enjoy a stroll. Look out for QR codes around the vineyard too – point your camera phone at them to view short video clips on YouTube made by our volunteers. Please note there is no smoking anywhere on site, and do not bring BBQs. Thank you for your cooperation. The MarqueeHead to the marquee for a glass of chilled wine and other purchases. We can also arrange chilled wine by the bottle to accompany your picnic but as we don’t have a fridge on site, it is advisable to pre-book this so we know how much to bring!
