About
Ardmore Distillery was built in 1898 by Adam Teacher in Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, primarily to supply malt whisky for the family's Teacher's Highland Cream blend. Now owned by Beam Suntory, Ardmore remains one of the Highland's few distilleries to use coal-fired stills and produces a lightly peated, robust single malt that is bottled as the Ardmore Traditional Cask expression. The distillery also produces a Triple Wood variant and has a legacy of small-batch independent bottlings.
