About
Convalmore Distillery was founded in 1894 in Dufftown, Speyside — the fourth of the town's famous 'seven stills of Dufftown' — and closed in 1985 due to the whisky industry slump. The site now serves as a warehouse for William Grant & Sons, while the brand remains with Diageo; official bottlings are extremely rare, appearing only occasionally in special releases, and are prized by collectors for their waxy, fruity, old-school Speyside character.
