About
Glengoyne Distillery, founded in 1833 in Dumgoyne on the Highland Line just north of Glasgow, is uniquely positioned with its warehouses technically in the Lowlands while the stills remain in the Highlands. Owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, Glengoyne uses only unpeated malt dried slowly with warm air — no peat — and matures its whisky entirely in sherry casks, producing a particularly rich, fruity and approachable single malt across a range spanning 10 to 25 years.
